Name: Emily Delaney

School: Audenshaw School

Town: Audenshaw

County: Manchester

Year: Year 12

Inspiration: I am an A-level student at Audenshaw Sixth Form studying Fine Art. I have been heavily influenced by the art of Jessicka Addams and Mark Ryden, I am currently experimenting with their ideas of combining innocence and child-like imagery with dark, more 'grown up' themes and issues.

Title: Bees in the Caramel

Description: 'Bees in the caramel and I'm not afraid, surgeons make incisions, what a mess they've made. Tearing at my skin, leaving knives in my brain, stabbing at the voices driving me insane' This is an illustration of Band Aid Covers the Bullet Hole by Scarling, working with Jessicka Addams idea of mixing naive images with darker themes. This piece is also inspired by Mark Ryden's and Marion Peck's style of painting.
