Inspiration: I have been drawing since I could first pick up a pencil, and I also have a love for painting and experimenting in different mediums and styles. At the moment I have a particular love for portraiture- I am fascinated by trying to capture the essence of a person through art, and I draw inspiration from a multitude of both famous and obscure artists. I am always drawing inspiration from other artists, and I am particularily interested in those who incorporate messages about social issues in their work, such as Barbara Kruger and Banksy.

Title: Vixen

Description: This piece was inspired by Albrecht Durer's portraits of animals. I was fascinated by the almost wistful expression of the fox in the reference photo, and attempted to replicate it. I love the transient nature of the piece, as the photo was a snapshot of a particular moment that will never be captured in the same way again.
