Inspiration: Over the course of A-level I think my work has evolved and is much more ambitious and original. I have enjoyed using increasingly mixed media as I think this results in a really exciting overall piece of work and allows you to get across the message you are trying to convey. Storytelling is an important part of my art and I try to think about how to engage a viewer and encourage people to respond. I have been really inspired by the work of Grayson Perry, Swoon and Tracey Emin.
Title: Quilt
Description: With this piece I was exploring the concept of inspiration. Using quotes I loved from books, poems and songs I created a quilt using different illustrative styles for each square. This was one of the first pieces on which I worked in a more organic way which I really enjoyed, as it gave me much more freedom and allowed me to experiment.
