Title: A Bubble of Relationships

Description: In this piece, I imagine my relationships as being enclosed in a bubble. Each person has their own bubble of relationships and as one meets new people or loses people, their bubble pops and reforms, adapting to the change. This piece introduces a 3 dimensional representation of this idea. The inside of the ball is lined with squares of mirrored perspex. Inspired by Nietzsche saying 'when you look into the void, the void looks back at you' the piece offers a way in which the viewer can explore his/her relationships in a philosophical way. By putting one's head into the ball, it is possible to see one's reflection. Due to the positioning of the mirrors, the further in one delves, the more they see but at the same time the more chaotic the reflections become. In this way, the viewer understands that their relationships cannot easily be analyzed since they are very complicated and chaotic but may be better understood the further they look in.
