Inspiration: I've always thought of art as the expression of what I'm feeling, and the questions that I can't answer. I find that through creating a piece of art that asks the question for me, stops me from needing to have an answer to everything. My art often ends up expressing the difficult things that are happening in my life at that moment, without me even meaning too, but I feel it definitely helps me deal with them. I also like to pose questions with my pieces, especially when I feel like the way in which society handles things is wrong, I like the idea that when someone looks at my artwork they will have to ask the same questions of themselves. I love exploring the art of other artists and feel that Man Ray has definitely been the artist to have most inspired my work.

Title: Emily's Morning (Sickness)

Description: There are a lot of problems with my age group and binge drinking at the moment and I feel like my age group and the adults around us do not take it seriously enough. We let it go, and think of it as “cute” or a “rite of passage”, when in reality it’s can lead to serious liver failure and alcoholism.
