Inspiration: My main specialities in art and design are portraiture, illustration, textiles and photography. I enjoy working with traditional media as well as exploring with various other resources, testing different possibilities. The unlimited options available in art stimulate me. Since starting A level media I have developed a stronger interest in film and costume design. I enjoy looking at and creating different personas. My taste varies and changes constantly, but lately I particularly admire the work of a range of illustrators such Cassandra Rhodin’s skeletal beauties, Vita Yang, Cedric Rivrain and the very cute yet mildly provocative caricatures by Fafi.

Title: Smoking Man

Description: I created this piece for the theme of solitude, loneliness and despair. Working from a photograph by an amateur photographer which I found it really captivating and the desolate, calm mood and the self destructive character fitted perfectly with my theme.
