Inspiration: My creativity holds no limits. I like to travel into the unknown and discover ideas and methods that I never knew were possible. I enjoy travelling around London to seek out exhibitions to fuel my passion for art. What excites me most is the process of coming to a final solution, to see the first experiment evolve into something completely unexpected from the first seed of thought. I constantly like to change what I do in my artwork, just painting and drawing is not enough to keep me satisfied; sculpting, printing, photography, film and a manner of other things all come into play when dappling into the depths of my creative mind. I dislike constrictions and conformity and through my artwork I can find a release into a world of my own, with no rules and often lots of questions to ‘what it is’ and ‘what it means’. I’ll give a small explanation but ultimately, it is for the individual viewer to decide on the place my artwork holds in their eyes.
Title: Unknown paper creatures
Description: Short film I made using a series of photographs. I wanted to show a kind of 'toy story' style plot with things coming alive when the humans are unaware/sleeping. This childhood theme is also seen in the suggestions of nightmares and monsters under the bed, coming to take you away in the night.
Medium: video
