Name: Sean Bone
School: The Thomas Hardye School
Year: Year 13
Inspiration: My first exposure to the digital portraiture was Julian Opie’s 'Julian with T-shirt' which was a moving display of a self-portrait on an LED screen. Having done animations in the past I was intrigued as to the reception it got in an accredited gallery and I was impressed. This led me on a year’s worth of research and experimentation to get to where I am now recreating works similar to my original eye opener. Before all the work in 2D I really enjoyed working with wire and loved making forms and shapes only using the wire and my hands.
Title: United Front
Description: This was my final piece for the coursework unit and shows the culmination of all my vector skills up to that point. The entire piece was created in order to really challenge my limits and took 45 hours to complete. The squares in the background tie in the piece to my other set of portraits.
