Name: Henry Anderson-Elliott
School: Magdalen College School
Year: Year 12
Inspiration: These works were made in response to surrealism, regarding Edward Wadsworth and Magritte. The forms were taken from some large industrial screws that I found in a skip which, while being aesthetically quite pleasing, fitted to Wadsworth’s images of mechanical surrealism.
Title: untitled 2
Description: I was not looking for a pretentious and hastily added meaning, but rather looking at the aesthetics of the piece and the simplistic vertical form as very strong symbol.
