Inspiration: Through my artwork I aim to have an effect on the viewer, either by triggering a memory or a feeling within them. These pieces are from my project on the Lure of Food. Throughout the project I explored different ways people are lured to food and how I can present that in a piece of artwork. My inspiration comes from a variety of places, both traditional and contemporarys artists work and also real life situations which the viewer can relate to.

Title: Fridge Cake

Description: The idea behind this piece was to show a common scene where someone has been lured to food in the middle of the night. I have used chocolate cake as I could really dig my fingers into the sponge and create an almost deperate situation. The composition and how I have used the light in the painting are inspired by Vermeer and Rembrant.
