Although known for his East London churches, Hawksmoor had a hand in several Wren church spires as well as designing on his own the exquisite St Mary Woolnoth. After an introductory talk at St Mary’s by exhibition curator Owen Hopkins, we consider Hawksmoor’s other City spires and are joined by Alex Scott-Whitby of StudioAR, who won the RIBA ‘Forgotten Spaces’ competition with a proposal for turning unused City spires into low-rent creative studios.

2.30–4.30pm; meet outside St Mary Woolnoth, King William Street, EC3V 9AN
