Thom Mayne’s Los Angeles-based firm Morphosis has built a reputation as one of the world’s most inventive and challenging practices. Their work pushes the boundaries of architectural design, frequently employing divergent and fragmented forms that are uniquely attuned to the particular brief and site. Mayne is a polemicist whose ideas as well as his architecture are constantly provocative, raising new questions about the nature and meaning of architectural form.
