Recently elected as a Royal Academician, Ron Arad’s practice crosses art, design and architecture, consistently challenging conventions of form and materials. Arad first gained international recognition with a number of now seminal chair designs, fusing high-tech materials and found objects with a sculptural force that also characterises his architectural works such as the Design Museum in Holon and Médiacité in Liège.
