Sacred Museum, Adeje, Tenerife, under construction, by Menis Arquitectos. Fernando Menis’ architecture combines sculptural forms with a deeply tactile appreciation of materials. Buildings such as Holy Redeemer Church in San Cristóbal de la Laguna, the Sacred Museum and Plaza of Spain, and Magma Art & Congress, both in Adeje, display both a spiritual and material connection to Menis’ native Tenerife; their striking forms emerge from the ground, appearing timeless yet contemporary.
