Chris Orr RA. On the Road to Damascus: A London fantasy based on Wenceslaus Hollar and others.
Painter, printmaker and writer Chris Orr RA
deconstructs and reconstructs the world through pictures. His work about London is centred on the River Thames. In this lecture he discusses his own art, and that of other artists including Whistler, Turner, Monet, and Wenceslaus Hollar, whose 1647 panorama 'The Long View of London from Southwark' inspired Orr’s recent large-scale print.
