Tate Britain, Millbank, SW1P 4RG
Tate celebrates two of Britain’s most highly respected painters: Patrick Caulfield (1936–2005) and Gary Hume RA (born 1962). Caulfield has been known for his iconic and vibrant paintings of modern life that reinvigorated traditional artistic genres such as the still life. Hume is best known for his innovative use of colour, line and surface in his distinctive compositions. Gary Hume RA will give Patrons a tour of his exhibition, which will be followed by a curated tour of the Caulfield room. It promises to be an inspiring start for a summer day.
