Royal Academy of Arts & St James’s Church The Summer Exhibition is at the heart of the Royal Academy’s history, and is steeped in history and tradition. The celebrations for opening week begin when the Academy welcomes selected artists to a steel band concert in the RA courtyard, followed by a procession on Piccadilly and church service at St James’s. Patrons are invited to join non Member artists for this curious piece of the Academy’s history.
