Gifted: From the Royal Academy to the Queen

4 November 2013

6.30 – 8.30pm
The Queen’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace

To celebrate the Diamond Jubilee in 2012, the Royal Academy presented a gift of more than 100 works on paper to Her Majesty The Queen, with works from some of the most high-profile Academicians including Tracey Emin, David Hockney and Grayson Perry. The gift, a magnificent addition to the Royal Collection, was presented to The Queen by Christopher Le Brun PRA and Charles Saumarez Smith in November 2012. The entire gift goes on display at the Queen’s Gallery from 1 November, and Royal Collection Trust will host a reception for contributing Academicians and Gold and Platinum Patrons on 4 November. An invitation from the Director of the Royal Collection will follow in the autumn.
