David Mach Studio visit

25 September 2013

6.30–8pm
Forest Hill

David Mach RA is well known for his sculptural appropriation of everyday materials (such as coat hangers, matchsticks and scrabble tiles) and for his large-scale collages. Both featured in Precious Light, a major exhibition by the artist in Edinburgh last year that marked the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible. In 1988 Mach was nominated for the Turner Prize and was elected Royal Academician in 1998. He invites Patrons to his studio to see the beginnings of a unique project in collaboration with the Royal Academy and his adventurous working practice.
