The Royal Academy is delighted to present an exhibition of landscape work by David Hockney. The exhibition will present a large number of new paintings, many of which are of ambitious scale and which were executed specifically for the Academy’s exhibition. Inspired by the Yorkshire landscape, these recent works are shown alongside related drawings and film. This body of recent work is contextualised by a number of retrospective works which demonstrate Hockney’s long exploration and fascination with the depiction of landscape.
