David Hockney’s relationship with the landscape of East Yorkshire has been compared with Claude Monet’s passion for his gardens in Giverny. His paintings and iPad paintings of the countryside around Bridlington are arguably some of the most recognisable of his career. Join us for a weekend of viewing Yorkshire through the artist’s eyes. The trip will include; supper at the home of a local private collector; a visit to the famous Salt Mill gallery, studio and restaurant the artist helped to conceive; curator led tours of local art collections and museums as well as visits to the famous sites Hockney likes to paint.
