West Wycombe Park

Friends Only

21 March 2012

West Wycombe ParkBuilt in the mid eighteenth-century, West Wycombe Park is one of the finest examples of Palladian architecture in Europe. An abundance of paintings, statues and tapestries adorn the house, many of which belonged to the 2nd Baronet, Sir Francis Dashwood, founder of the Dilettante Society and infamous Hellfire Club. We are extremely grateful to Lord and Lady Dashwood for this private tour, led by James Stourton, Chairman of Sotheby’s UK. To complete this special afternoon, historian Keith Perry gives us an insightful talk about eighteenth-century aristocratic social history.
