Vintners’ Hall

25 November 2008

With its first charter granted in 1364, the Vintners are one of the Twelve Great Livery Companies and have a long involvement in the importation, regulation and sale of wine. We tour the private rooms of Vintners’ Hall and view the wonderful collection of silver, enamel and porcelain wine labels as well as fine panelling, furniture and historic portraits. The late-nineteenth-century drawing room, Court Room and carved staircase of 1673 are particularly impressive.
