Turner Contemporary Photo © Richard Bryant/Arcaidimages.com Turner Contemporary’s spectacular gallery opened in April 2011. Designed by Royal Academician David Chipperfield, the gallery celebrates J.M.W. Turner’s association with the town. Our visit includes a talk by the architects on the design of the building and a tour of the exhibition ‘Turner and the Elements’, which brings together over 95 of his works, exploring the important role that the elements play in his landscape paintings.
