The house of Thomas Carlyle, one of the great Victorian writers and historians, opens for an exclusive Friends tour. This classic Queen Anne house was once at the centre of Victorian artistic and literary society. The perfectly preserved rooms offer a unique insight into the life and times of the Carlyles and their friends.
