Founded in 1804, the Royal Watercolour Society showcases the finest contemporary painting in water-based media in Britain with a membership of 80 artists, including seven Royal Academicians. Friends are invited to this private reception and viewing of the Autumn Exhibition with a welcome and introduction given by the President of the RWS, Richard Sorrell. The delightful Bankside Gallery was opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth in November 1980. All works are for sale.
