Terry Frost RA exhibition at Reading Museum and Dorney Court

13 November 2008
Friends Only

We visit Reading Museum to see the Terry Frost exhibition ‘Colour, Collage and Constructions’. Sir Terry Frost RA was one of Britain’s most successful and highly acclaimed artists of the twentieth century. On our guided tour with the curator, we learn about Frost’s joyful paintings and view works that have not been seen by the public before. In the afternoon we visit Dorney Court, one of the finest Tudor manor houses in England. Home to the Palmer family for over 450 years, the house opens especially for Friends and our tour includes family portraits by Lely and Kneller, oak and lacquer furniture and a glass of damson gin, Madeira or sherry in the magnificent Great Hall.

9.30am–6.30pm; £62 (includes coach, coffee, set lunch/wine, glass of damson gin/Madeira/sherry)
