The Long Gallery at Strawberry Hill prior to restoration. © Strawberry HillWe visit Strawberry Hill House, created by Horace Walpole in 1747 as ‘a little Gothic castle’, and reopened in 2010 after an extensive two-year restoration. On our tour, we learn about the unique architecture of the building, many features of which were based on gothic cathedrals and abbeys.
