Stratfield Saye was bought for the first Duke of Wellington in 1817 as a thank you from the nation. Sir William Pitt built the main part of the house in 1630, with later additions completed by Benjamin Wyatt and William Kent. Our private tour includes paintings from the Spanish Royal Collection, marble busts, French furniture, and other personal possessions relating to the Great Duke and his descendants.
