Squerryes Court, Kent
25 March 2010
Friends Only
Built by Sir Nicholas Crisp in 1680, Squerryes Court is a typical William and Mary manor house. It has been the home of the Warde family since 1731 and has an important collection of Old Master Dutch, English and Italian paintings. On our exclusive tour, we learn about the collection and gain an insight into the English art market in the mid-eighteenth century. We also see items connected with General Wolfe of Quebec.
