Royal Hospital Chelsea

15 June 2011

Designed by Sir Christopher Wren and completed in 1692, the Royal Hospital Chelsea has changed little in its long history. On our private tour led by one of the Chelsea Pensioners, we visit the State Apartments, Chapel and Museum and learn about the work of Wren, Adam, Soane and Vanbrugh. We also study the paintings on display including a large mural by Antonio Verrio and Henry Cooke, and works by Van Dyck and Lely.

This event is also taking place on 28 April 2011
