Royal College of Music’s Museum of Musical Instruments
21 November 2008
The Museum of Musical Instruments houses an internationally renowned collection of more than 800 instruments and accessories dating from 1480 to the present. On our guided tour with the curator, we learn about the museum’s important collections donated by notable personalities, including the Rajah Sir Sorindro Mohun Tagore, King Edward VII and Crispian Steele-Perkins. We also see some of the most famous paintings from the College’s collection, including portraits of Jan Ladislav Dussek and George Henschel.
