Royal Albert Hall

19 November 2010

Opened in 1871 to fulfil Prince Albert’s vision of a ‘Central Hall’ to promote an understanding and appreciation of the Arts and Sciences, the Royal Albert Hall is one of London’s most iconic buildings. On our behind-the-scenes tour, we learn how the hall was inspired by the ruins of a Roman amphitheatre and we have a rare opportunity to see the backstage corridors and glimpse the stage from a performer’s perspective.
