Petworth HouseOpening privately for Friends, Petworth House is a late seventeenth-century mansion rebuilt in 1688 by Charles Seymour, 6th Duke of Somerset, and altered in the 1870s by Anthony Salvin. Petworth is home to the National Trust’s finest and largest collection of paintings and our tour includes works by Turner, Van Dyck, Reynolds and Blake, as well as Neo-classical sculpture, fine furniture and carvings by Grinling Gibbons.
