Built in 1577, this beautiful Elizabethan house is set in an ancient deer park close to the South Downs. It has been carefully restored over time and contains a notable collection of paintings, textiles and furniture including portraits by Lely, Romney and Gainsborough, rare sixteenth-century Italian wool hangings, Flemish tapestries, Hungarian point needlework and Georgian chairs by Sheraton. The house opens privately for Friends and in the afternoon we have time to explore the four-acre walled garden.

SOLD OUT 10am–7pm; (incl. coach, lunch/wine, tea)
