Painting and Poetry in the Courtauld Gallery
4 November 2009
This tour led by Dr Caroline Levitt has been specially put together for Friends and explores the fascinating relationship between nineteenth-century poetry and some of the Courtauld Gallery’s finest Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works. At a time when media and cultural organisations are promoting a poetry revival, it is interesting to consider this powerful and emotive art form in relation to the visual arts.
