Oxford Colleges

Friends Only

15 August 2012

Architectural historian Roger White leads our tour of three Oxford colleges: Magdalen, Queens and University College. Magdalen, founded in the late fifteenth-century, has a significant collection of architectural drawings, including works by Hawksmoor and Pugin. Queens is a medieval college largely rebuilt in the eighteenth century by Hawksmoor. We also visit University College, founded in 1249 but now predominantly ‘Gothic Survival’ in style.
