Marlborough House

Built by Christopher Wren in 1711 for the first Duke, Marlborough House opens especially for Friends. The house was taken up by the Crown in 1817 and is now the Headquarters of the Commonwealth. Our tour of the grounds and Fine Rooms includes portraits by Allan Ramsay and Luke Fildes, ceiling paintings by Orazio Gentileschi and works by the French decorative painter Louis Laguerre.
