Maidstone Museum: The Art and Techniques of Japanese Prints

Complementing ‘Kuniyoshi’, we visit Maidstone Museum for a talk on the development of Japanese prints during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries given by Marie-Thérèse Barrett, lecturer at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London. Maidstone Museum has one of the best collections of the Japanese Edo period in the south-east, including woodblock prints, printed books, ceramics and stoneware.
