Lambeth Palace

Friends Only

3 November 2011

We visit Lambeth Palace, the London home of the Archbishop of Canterbury, with its thirteenth-century crypt and Tudor gatehouse. It was restored in the 1820s by Edward Blore, who also worked on Buckingham Palace, and our private tour includes the State Rooms, garden, and chapel. We also visit the Great Hall with its awe-inspiring oak hammer-beam roof and ceiling paintings by Leonard Rosoman RA.
