Kimbolton Castle, Cambs

18 February 2010

A medieval castle converted into a stately palace, Kimbolton Castle is best known as the final residence of Catherine of Aragon. It was home to the Dukes of Manchester from 1615 to 1950 and we learn about the reconstruction of the castle over time by Sir John Vanbrugh, Nicholas Hawksmoor and Robert Adam. Our exclusive tour also includes the State Rooms and Chapel where we see paintings by Giovanni Pellegrini. We also visit Kimbolton Church with its painted screen and Tiffany window.
