Kensal Green Cemetery
Friends Only
28 July 2011
Inspired by the Père-Lachaise cemetery in Paris, Kensal Green was the first commercial cemetery in London. We learn about its unique design and visit the Grade 1 listed Anglican Chapel and its catacombs. More than 1,500 notable personalities have been buried here, including the architect Decimus Burton, the poet Thomas Hood and the painter J. W. Waterhouse.
