Highgate Cemetery

27 July 2010

By popular demand, we return to Highgate Cemetery. Opened in 1839, the Cemetery has the finest collection of Victorian funerary architecture in the country. On our guided tour of the west section, we explore the Lebanon Circle Vaults, Egyptian Avenue and Terrace Catacombs. We also see the graves of Karl Marx, George Eliot and Sir Ralph Richardson among others.

SOLD OUT 11am–1pm; (no facilities or resting points available; sturdy shoes recommended, not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties); Highgate West Cemetery, Swain’s Lane, N6
