Hertfordshire Miscellany

17 June 2009
Friends Only

Join architectural historian Roger White on this fascinating day out visiting three buildings of diverse architectural interest in Hertfordshire. Tyttenhanger House, built around 1660, belongs to a group of Artisan Mannerist houses. North Mymms Church is predominantly fourteenth century and has a fine collection of monuments in its unexpected rural location. After lunch we visit the magnificent Palladian mansion of Wrotham Park, the setting for the 2001 film Gosford Park. The house was designed in 1754 by Isaac Ware and it contains an outstanding collection of paintings and furniture.
