Hall Place, Kent

26 May 2010
Friends Only

Built in 1537 for Sir John Champneys, a wealthy merchant and former Lord Mayor of London, Hall Place has been extensively restored to reveal its Tudor origins and seventeenth-century additions. Our private tour includes the panelled Tudor Great Hall, the vaulted Long Gallery and splendid Great Chamber with its fine plaster ceiling. We also explore the magnificent gardens, which boast a stunning topiary lawn of chess pieces.

1–6.30pm; £39 (includes coach, tea)
