Godinton House, Kent

Friends Only

26 July 2011

Our day begins with a trip to Great Chart Church, historically linked with Godinton House. Revd. Tim Wilson leads our visit, which features fifteenth-century stained glass and a tapestry screen by Morris & Co. Our private tour of Godinton House reveals a fascinating building of medieval origins. We explore the main rooms and learn about the collection of porcelain, pictures and furniture. We also view the park and gardens, which were laid out in 1896 by Sir Reginald Blomfield.
