Dr Johnson's House
19 January 2010
Friends Only
Dr Johnson’s House is one of the few residential houses of its age still surviving in the City of London. Built in 1700, it was the home and workplace of Samuel Johnson and it was here he compiled the first comprehensive English Dictionary. We exclusively tour the house with the curator and learn about Dr Johnson’s connections to the RA and his friendship with our first president Sir Joshua Reynolds.
