Home of the Brudenell family since 1514, Deene Park began life as a medieval manor house and was later developed into a Tudor then Georgian mansion. It was also the seat of the Earls of Cardigan, the most notable of whom led the charge of the Light Brigade in 1854. Our tour includes a range of architectural styles, portraits by Reynolds and Gainsborough, and a unique ceiling designed by Mannerist architect Sebastiano Serlio. Later we tour the gardens and visit the nearby 13th century church of St Peter’s.
