Charterhouse

11 August 2010

Led by one of the Brothers of Charterhouse, Friends privately tour this historic palace which over its 600-year history has been a Carthusian priory, Tudor mansion, Jacobean ‘hospital’ and is now an almshouse. We explore the Courts, Great Hall, Library, Great Chamber and Chapel and learn about the rich and varied history of this unique building, which remains hidden behind a square in vibrant Clerkenwell.

SOLD OUT 2.15–4pm; (incl. tea); meet at the gatehouse, Charterhouse Square, EC1
