Burgh House – ‘Constable: 200 Years in Hampstead’

Friends Only

15 March 2013

Burgh House is a beautiful Queen Anne house in the heart of Hampstead. Built in 1704, the building was saved from demolition and transformed into a museum in 2006. We tour the museum’s new exhibition ‘Constable: 200 Years in Hampstead’ with its curator. Constable was a regular visitor to Hampstead and later took up permanent residence in the village. We see works inspired by his time here and take a walk around the area.
